Over 45 years ago, when MET was founded, we made a commitment to sustainability. Since then, mindfulness of the environment and sustainability have grown to be incorporated into every aspect of our business.
FSC® Certified
All materials used by MET have been certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This Council recognizes MET’s contribution to responsible forestry management. MET contributes to responsible forestry management through tracking the wood-harvested products we source. This ensures the wood-harvested products are made with materials from ethically managed forests, or from recycled sources.
Protecting Our Forests
MET is proud to partner with Canopy, an international non-profit organization that advocates for the protection of the world’s ancient and endangered forests. Mindful of our environmental impact, we have developed policies to ensure our fibre-sourcing practices avoid forest hot spots.
MET also supports the commercial scale development of pulp, paper and packaging alternatives which provide sustainable options for fibre-based materials.

Climate Smart
MET is proud to be a 100% carbon neutral operation; we are a Climate Smart™ certified business and member of the FortisBC Renewable Natural Gas Program. Additionally, MET is the first printer in the Pacific Northwest to work with UV inks and their associated technologies, which eliminate VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from the ink drying process.
Green Technology
Our highly advanced, energy-efficient LED-UV and UV presses enable MET to run numerous colours, finishes, and other processes inline. This technology significantly reduces the waste of energy and materials throughout the production process. Our custom ink-mixing machine also ensures efficient use of materials by more accurately measuring ink required for projects.
